As a kind of bio-based platform chemicals derived from renewable resource glucose, isosorbide (ISB) is considered the perfect candidate for the synthesis of polycarbonate (PC) to replace chronic toxic bisphenol A (BPA) due to its attractive rigidity, non-toxicity and chirality.
