S'accommoder du politique: Économie et pratiques de l'information politique

Economy and uses of political informationFrom an investigation conducted in a village population on a social time streched sequence (covering two municipal elections), this article proposes another way to make electoral sociology. The choosed observation method allows to question the different political interaction levels by refunding the multiple social links that they engage and put in game. The shapes and rhythms analysis of local political information exchanges shows how much the conceptualization of the electoral stakes in party takes root in the sociability structures and in the common work on the "memory" of the previous political episodes. However, beyond patterns shared with other similar contexts, this inquiry feeds more largely the voters' sociology and more particulary the matter of their statement about politics. Through the village sociability, all the technics of accommodation to a political event (the previous campaign, the campaign itself and the ballot) come to light. By this way, the politization of the social conflictuality, the resizing the political stakes, and the personalization of the electoral competition bend the rather abstract "political order" into a very concrete social issue. These ways of acting are part of the repertory of the ordinary tactics to put up with politics.A partir d'une enquête menée auprès d'une population villageoise sur une séquence étirée du temps social (couvrant deux élections municipales), cet article propose une autre façon de faire de la sociologie électorale. La méthode d'observation choisie permet d'interroger les différents niveaux d'interaction politique en restituant les multiples pans du lien social qu'ils engagent et mettent en jeu. L'analyse des formes et des rythmes de l'échange des informations politiques locales montre à quel point la conceptualisation des enjeux électoraux présents s'enracine dans les structures de lasociabilité et dans le travail commun sur la " mémoire " des épisodes politiques précédents. Mais, au-delà des résonances que ce terrain présente avec des configurations sociales similaires, l'enquête nourrit plus largement la sociologie des électeurs et plus particulièrement la question de leur rapport au politique. Au prisme des relations villageoises, se font jour toutes les techniques d'accommodement à un événement politique (la précampagne, la campagne et le scrutin). La politisation de la conflictualité sociale, le redimensionnement des enjeux politiques et la personnalisation de la compétition électorale composent ici la part informationnelle du répertoire des tactiques ordinaires d'ajustement à l'ordre politique
