International audienceThis work proposes to study the representation of seduction in medical discourse, in doctrinal texts that popularise medical knowledge, as well as in literary texts from late medieval to 17th century Spain. More specifically, seduction will be analysed in its bodily dimension, in other words, the physiological mechanisms of seduction. Seduction and the process of enamourment are indeed the subject of an abundant theoretical and reflexive discourse, present in medical texts, but also in philosophical and moral treatises and even in literary texts.
