Nanoparticles are defined as spherical structures with a maximum diameter of 100 nanometers. The application fields of nanoparticles including food and pharmaceutical industries are extremely broad. Human can be exposed daily to nanoparticles through various administration routes (oral, intravenous, pulmonary and cutaneous). Due to their size at the nanoscale, nanoparticles have unique physicochemical, inducing strong interactions with the biological environment.
