This study aims to determine the ability of seventh-grade disabilities students (mental retardation) in solving number operation problems including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of natural numbers at SLB Bhakti Kencana I Berbah. The research method used is descriptive research to see the abilities and activities of students in solving number operation problems given by a researcher. The instruments of this study are a video to see students’ processes, test questions to see students' abilities, and interviews with a teacher to encourage the student prior knowledge.
