Arlene "Jimmy" Hoeth was born in 1924 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She graduated from high school in 1941 and attended one year of college in La Crosse before coming to Stout in 1942. While at Stout she was involved in many activities. Following graduation, she became an Extension Home Economist in St. Croix County. She married James Quilling in 1946. In addition to raising a family and helping on the farm, and later became a secretary for the School of Home Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.This collection includes some correspondence, but most of the materials relate to concerts, plays, parties and so forth that took place on campus during World War II.
