Das Seeden eines Frequency-Shifted-Feedback (FSF) Lasers mit einem phasenmoduliertem Single-Frequency Lasers führt zu einem gechirptem Frequenzkamm mit schmaler Kammlinien-Linienbreite. Das macht es möglich mit hohem Signal-zu-Rausch-Verhältnis abstandsabhängige RF-Schwebefrequenzen zu detektieren, so dass es sogar möglich ist RF-Schwebefrequenzen zu detektieren, wenn das Target ein diffus-streuendes Objekt ist. Das Seed-Laser-System besteht aus einem Single-Frequency DFB Laser, einem EOM zur Phasenmodulation und einem periodisch-gepolten Lithium-Niobat-Kristall zur Erzeugung der zweiten Harmonischen.
