SpracheDie hohen Anforderungen, die moderne Videokodierstandards an die Rechenleistung stellen, koennen auf vielen Embedded-Architekturen nicht oder nur eingeschraenkt geloest werden. Der Einsatz von Multi-Prozessorsystemen und die Aufteilung der Kodierung auf mehrere Prozessoren bieten hier eine elegante Loesung. Der Entwurf von parallelen Videokodiersystemen stellt jedoch bei komplexen Algorithmen wie H.264 eine herausfordernde Aufgabe dar. Es gilt hier, eine gleichmaessige Aufteilung der Rechenschritte auf die verfuegbaren Prozessoren zu finden und dabei bei der Partitionierung die hohe Anzahl an algorithmischen Abhaengigkeiten zwischen den einzelnen Schritten zu beruecksichtigen.
