Vietnamese Tran dynasty (1225-1400) is known for its having repulsed Mongol invaders, but there has-been no true study of the nature and structure of its governmental organization. General scholarly opinion has adopted the interpretation that the Ly 李 dynasty (1010-1225), the earliest enduring imperial dynasty of Vietnamese history, had established a "Chinese-model state"--a "centralized feudal state", in other words ; and that the Tran dynasty further developed this style of government.
