The following results were obteined by measuring the levels of serum, potassium and calcium with the flame photometer and that of serum urea-nitrogen with the xanthydrol method in 147-150 in-patients who were subjected to urological surgery. 1) In 28 Patients with urogenital tuberculosis, the serum sod i um was decreased, while the potassium level in most cases was within normal limit. The serum calcium level in the majority of the cases was also within normal limit. The urea-nitrogen was increased in 17.8 per cent of the cases, which resulted in slight to moderate degree of azotemia. 2) In the patients with urolithiasis, the serum sodium level was mostly wi t hin normal limit, the serum potassium level was lowered in one third of the cases...
