The work presents a choice of results from a detailed research dealing with pupils attitudes towards biology and mathematics. The sample included 399 eighth form elementary school pupils from Belgrade. The researchers analyses pupils answers to some questions from the Inventory of habits and techniques in learning, referring to the subject the pupils like, the subject they this like, the subject which is difficult to master and the causes of difficulties in mastering matter in that subject. More negative attitudes are found as regards mathematics, as well as stating some difficulties in studying.
