The eastern part of the Inland Sea of Seto and the central part of the Kinki Districthave inland-type climate. In winter season cold air lake with stable and calm air is oftenformed in this area. These features of the local climate of this area are favourable forthe intensification of the density of air pollution. In this paper we illustrate the typicalexamples of weather maps for the dense air pollution. Then we discuss the differenceof the local cimates of Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe City in relation to air pollution. The eastern part of the Inland Sea of Seto and the central part of the Kinki Districthave inland-type climate.
