この論文は国立情報学研究所の学術雑誌公開支援事業により電子化されました。This study attempts to clarify the changes in the image of desirable characteristics while hiring new university graduates in Japan after the rapid economic growth, based on the history of merit system management and on Martin Trow's theory about a college-going rate. I have utilized articles from job-placement magazines for recruitment in 1971, 1986 and 2001. First, I encoded words and phrases included in the companies' recruiters' comments for hiring new graduates. Second, I checked for changes in the frequency of items up to the 30th place of each year.
