One of the motives of Whitehead's philosophy is to overcome the traditional conceptual scheme of Substance-Attribute or Subject-Predicate. In his philosophy of science, this motive appears as the refutation of "bifurcation of nature". We dicuss his main points through examining event and object, which are fundamental concepts in his, philosophy of science. An event is anything that is in passage. Events are in the field of a relation called "extention" . On the basis of this relation of extention, Whitehead constructs scientific, geometric concepts such as points, moments, etc. This is his "method of extensive abstraction" .
