The European Superleague. Media pressures, economical and sportive needs

L’objectiu d’aquest article és analitzar la viabilitat de la Superlliga europea de futbol a partir de tres aspectes: la pressió dels grans grups de comunicació, les necessitats econòmiques dels clubs i la competitivitat esportiva de les lligues domèstiques. Els canvis que ha patit l’economia del futbol a partir del 2003 contribueixen a fer pensar que la Superlliga europea és l’escenari més viable per als clubs.The aim of this article is to analyse the viability of an European football Superleague, taking into account three important aspects: the pressure of media groups, the economical necessities of the European football clubs and the sportive competitiveness of the local leagues. The important changes in the economics of football since 2003 contributed to consider that the ideal scenario for the European big clubs would be an European Superleague
