International audienceDigitalization seems to be a "mantra" that retailers must follow. This positive outlook is not questioned by practitioners and academics. Building on a literature review on digitalization and local food, we reveal how this retailing trend can be source of paradoxes for consumers, and how these paradoxes are accentuated for local food shopping.
