Disseminated superficial porokeratosis involving the groin and genitalia in a 72-year-old immunocompetent man

The porokeratoses are a group of disorders ofabnormal epidermal keratinization resulting in thecharacteristic histologic feature of the cornoidlamella. Several clinical variants of porokeratosisexist, which are unified by this common histologicfeature but differ in morphology, distribution, andclinical course. The typical lesions of porokeratosisare characterized by an atrophic center surroundedby an elevated keratotic rim formed by the cornoidlamella. The lesions can be found almost anywhereon the body; however, the groin and genitalia arerarely involved. We report an unusual presentationof a rare clinical variant
