КОНФЛІКТ ІДЕНТИЧНОСТІ У ТВОРІ О. ЛЯТУРИНСЬКОЇ «ЄРОНИМ»

The study of interpretation practice of Ukrainian artists-emigrants remains of current interest. The latter recreated the damaged identity model in their artistic texts. In our opinion, the solution of this problem will enable to reconstruct the formation of national identity in modern Ukraine more fully. The purpose of the present research is to identify the features of identity model in the works of O. Liaturynska on the example of the poem Yeronym. It is concluded that the identical disorientation of Ukrainian emigrants, which is represented by uncertainty and confusion, manifests itself on the level of memories of the past and of the painful reflections on the present and the future. The poet, fixing both personal and collective memories, not only structured them and provided a form, but also outlined their time-space. Such memories have a negative connotation in the work because they are associated with traumatic for Ukrainians locations. In Yeronym by O. Liaturynska, it is possible to observe a conflict of identity. This happens primarily due to the fact that the poem depicts several types of identities, from personal to national ones. They constantly interact with each other so that their components either complement or conversely contradict each other. While identifying a person as a personality, so-called "human dignity" comes to the fore. According to O. Liaturynska, the national identity must be based on the "honor of the race", whose components are the unity of the people, the language and the faith. The book also uses the metaphor of memory for the textual representation of symbolic practices, which is an integral part of the national identity of the Ukrainians. The characters of the work are trying to get rid of the memories that cause pain. The poem reveals a certain strategy for solving this issue: suppression of traumatic memories, understatement of unpleasant life experiences and compensating for unpleasant memories with thoughts about the best.У статті досліджено особливості моделі ідентичності у творчості О. Лятуринської на прикладі поеми «Єроним». Ідентичнісна дезорієнтація українських емігрантів, маркерами якої є невизначеність та розгубленість, виявляється на рівні спогадів про минуле та болісних роздумів про сучасне і майбутнє. У творі спогади частіше мають негативний відтінок. Насамперед, такі спогади пов’язані з травматичними для українського народу місцями. У «Єронимі» О. Лятуринської розкрито конфлікт ідентичності. Для ідентифікації людини як особистості на перший план виходить «людська гідність». Національна ідентичність, на думку О. Лятуринської, має ґрунтуватися на «честі роду», складниками якої є єдність народу, мови та віри. За допомогою метафори пам’яті у творі текстуально репрезентовано символічні практики, які є основним джерелом для самоусвідомлення особистості як громадянина
