The minimization problem for masse of rotor of centrifuge is solved. It's geometry changes in the defined limits with restriction on maximal equivalent stress. A quazi-Newton optimization method is used, for which it's necessary the gradient of the objective function and nonlinear restrictions. Linear restrictions are considered by reduction of a step of 1D search. The analysis problem is solved by FEM, 2D axisymmetrical finite element of triangular intersection is used. Gradients of the objective function and nonlinear restrictions is found analytically, without numerical differentiation.
