The Sustainable Development, Why? operation highlighted travelling exhibitions as levers for the generalisation of Education for Sustainable Development. Selected, publicised or marked with a National Education logo, they acquire legitimacy for this education, defined since 2004. This interdisciplinary thesis, which crosses educational and communicational fields, studies the links between the objectives of ESD and those of legitimised exhibitions, and attempts to clarify certain aspects of the circulation of ideas related to sustainable development in schools.
