The purpose of this thesis is to study and seek improvement of the superdirective antenna array technology. This technology has been recently re-examined in the literature since it can bring some interesting functionalities in the future telecommunication applications. The examination of this type of antenna is thus conducted through the use of Spherical Wave Expansion which allows for the general study of directivity limits as well as gain limits, considering lossy antennas.
