The dataset contains aerial RGB images and supplementary data of scientific helicopter missions during Polarstern cruise PS115/2 PArcOP. Measurements were performend within the secondary user project TEMPO. Focus of the helicopter flights was on recording melt pond development in its final phase of the summer season. Images were recorded downwards every 4 seconds with a CANON EOS 1D Mark III DSLR + CANON EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM lens. Sampling was provided by AWI Grant No. AWI_PS115.2_02
