The presentation, which was presented in the special session on "ITS as a Critical Infrastructure: Improving Security with ITS" the results of the Finnish TurvaTH project were described. The presentation describes the different challenges related to security in the supply chain, and the criteria needed for organisations to handle the risks efficiently. Possible technologies, such as electronic seals, which can improve the security of supply chains are described. Actors, which act in an efficient and secure way, are better placed in a competiiton on valuable goods transport. A systematic management of the whole supply chain is needed
