A dimensão urbana da natureza: considerações sobre a História Ambiental

The discussions, started from the 1970s, around the environmental crises have highlighted the emergence of an interdisciplinary dialogue about the human action into nature, in historical perspective. The Environmental History – a new discipline that arises – moves away from urban issues by prioritizing in its questions interventions in inhospitable natural areas or for planting. This product of human action, where the environment has been modified, is resumed by one of its branches – the Urban Environmental History. Systemize the theoretical-methodological approach that includes the historical analysis of the nature-city is intended with this article. Thus, the works of many authors who deal with the subject were read in order to contribute to building a broader study about the possibilities of converging relations between city, nature and history mediated by technology.As discussões, iniciadas a partir dos anos de 1970, em torno das crises ambientais evidenciaram a emergência de um diálogo interdisciplinar acerca das ações humanas na natureza numa perspectiva histórica. A História Ambiental – nova disciplina que surge então – se afasta do meio urbano ao priorizar em seus questionamentos as intervenções em áreas naturais inóspitas ou para plantio. Esse produto da ação do homem, onde o ambiente já foi modificado, é retomado por uma de suas vertentes – a História Ambiental Urbana. Sistematizar os aportes teórico-metodológicos da abordagem que compreende historicamente a análise da relação natureza-cidade é o que se pretende com este artigo. Para tal, fez-se a leitura de diversos autores, que tratam do tema, no sentido de contribuir para a construção de uma visão mais ampla sobre as possibilidades de estudo que convergem as relações entre a cidade, a natureza e a história, intermediadas pela tecnologia
