The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between collective efficacy, cohesion and team performance in the Spanish amateur female basketball. Players (N=68) from 8 basketball teams completed the Spanish versions of the Collective Efficacy Questionnaire for Sport and the Group Environment Questionnaire for Sports at the end of the 2011/20112 season. Collective efficacy was a powerful explanatory factor of success whereas general group cohesion was not.
