Se aporta evidencia para una reevaluación del valor fonémico de los signos m' y m del sistema de escritura íbero levantino. En el caso de m' se refuerza mi propuesta de que es una vocal nasal o nasalizada. Para el signo m, establecida la imposibilidad de que tenga un valor de /m/, se sugiere que, probablemente, su uso marginal simplemente indica la asimilación regresiva de nasalidad de la vocal precedente. De esta forma ambos signos se empleaban para el mismo proceso fonético.Evidence is provided for a reevaluation of the phonemic value of the signs m' and m in the Levantine Iberian writing system.
