Chitosan-based scaffolds for removal of industrial dyes from aqueous solution

U literaturi je posljednih godina velika pozornost usmjerena na primjenu kitozanskih proizvoda u postupku pročišćavanja otpadnih voda. Istraživanja materijala temeljena na kitozanu vrlo su zastupljena u području adsorpcijske znanosti. Ovaj rad ističe par primjera kitozanskih kompozita koji omogućavaju uklanjanje bojila iz vodenih otopina. Sažima ključne podatke o njihovoj primjeni te su razmotreni učinci parametara kao što su karakteristike kitozana, procesne varijable i uvjeti otopine koja se rabi u ispitivanjima. Rad se bazira na točno određenoj boji, kongo crvenoj, kako bi lakše usporedili dobivene podatke. Rezultat ovog rada je potvrda da kitozan ima veliku mogućnost napretka u polju adsorpcije te kako je njegova upotreba u uklanjanju bojila iz vodenih otopina na zasluženom usponu.In recent years considerable attention has been paid to the use of chitosan products in the waste water treatment process. Specifically, the use and development of chitosan-based materials make an expanding field in the area of adsorption science. This review highlights a couple of examples of chitosan composites that allow dye removal from aqueous solutions. It highlights some of the notable examples in the use of chitosan and analyzes the effects of parameters such as chitosan characteristics, process variables, and solution conditions used in the tests. The work is based on the exact color, Congo Red, to compare the obtained data better. The result of this review is a confirmation that chitosan has a great potential for progress in the field of adsorption and that it has a deserved role in removing dyes from aqueous solutions
