Vinova loza (Vitis vinifera L.) višegodišnja je penjačica čiji plodovi pokazuju veliku sposobnost antioksidacijskog, antibakterijskog i antifungalnog djelovanja. Zahvaljujući bogatstvu sekundarnim biljnim metabolitima – fenolnim spojevima pripravci grožđa štite organizam od napada patogenih bakterija, ali i stanice od štetnog djelovanja slobodnih radikala u oksidativnom stresu. Stoga je cilj ovoga istraživanja bio eksperimentalno utvrditi ukupan sadržaj fenola, ukupnu antioksidacijsku te antibakterijsku aktivnost ekstrakata pokožica grožđa deset različitih, autohtonih, armenskih sorti.
