To accurately analyze combustion and emissions in the internal combustion engine, hundreds of chemical species have to be transported in the computational domain in the form of a detailed chemical mechanism. The use of this detailed chemical mechanism in the computational domain leads to an increase in computational time. To avoid this, there are two solutions proposed by the combustion research community, one is mechanism reduction, and the other is a tabulated chemistry approach. In the tabulation method, all the data is stored in a table according to the specified mechanism and then the table is accessed with the local cell values.
