Burnout Syndrome among Scientists

The aim of this work is to characterize a work environment of scientists regarding the burnout syndrome problematics, to describe their opinions, and to interweave the demographic factors with the measure of burnout syndrome. The rate of burnout syndrome is measured by MBI-GS. The research is divided to quantitative part, that verifies the hypotheses based on theoretical research and is using Pearsnon chi-squared test and analysis of variance, and qualitative part, that is made by depth interview using the methods STAR and Plutchik wheel of emotions. The research has discovered very low awareness among scientists of burnout syndrome. Moreover, the research clarifies positive and negative emotions associated with the employee work performance including the factors that are main source of the stress.Cílem práce bylo charakterizovat pracovní prostředí vědeckých pracovníků s ohledem na syndrom vyhoření, popsat jejich názory a propojit demografické údaje s mírou jejich vyhoření. Míra vyhoření byla vyhodnocována pomocí dotazníku MBI-GS. Výzkum je rozdělen do kvantitativní části, která ověřuje stanovené hypotézy, jež byly vytvořeny na základě informací z teoretické části, s ohledem na míru vyhoření a ověřeny testem dobré shody a analýzou rozptylu, a kvalitativní části, která je obsažena v hloubkovém rozhovoru využívající metodu STAR a také Plutchikovo kolo emocí. Práce odhalila velmi nízkou informovanost o problematice syndromu vyhoření mezi účastníky výzkumu. Práce dále objasňuje pozitivní i negativní emoce spojené s výkonem práce vědeckého pracovníka, včetně faktorů, které je nejvíce zatěžují
