This research seeks to explain the mistreatment of women from the perspective of law, making a recount from the origin of our society in order to find what are the possible causes that give rise to this phenomenon. The mistreatment of women is undoubtedly a topic that addresses many social and cultural issues, the central axis of this investigation are two life stories of two women who do not know each other, who have been victims of abuse by their sentimental couples, it was sought that these women narrate all their experiences with the purpose of understanding if they looked for the way to safeguard their rights or only resigned accept that context of violence in which they were. With the stories of lives narrated is intended to raise awareness in society that the mistreatment of women, although currently is a well-known issue that has achieved many forms of protection is not yet eradicated completely and it is necessary to know In-depth real stories to understand that it is an issue that can affect many women regardless of their economic, religious, or social status.Esta investigación busco explicar el maltrato a la mujer desde la perspectiva del derecho, realizando un recuento desde el origen de nuestra sociedad con el fin de encontrar cuales son las posibles causas que dan origen a este fenómeno. El maltrato a la mujer sin duda es un tema que aborda mucha temática social y cultural, el eje central de esta investigación son dos historias de vida de dos mujeres que no se conocen entre sí, las cuales han sido víctima de maltrato por parte de sus parejas sentimentales, se buscaba que estas mujeres narraran todas sus vivencias con el propósito de comprender si ellas buscaron la manera de salvaguardar sus derechos o solo se resignaron aceptar ese contexto de violencia en el que Vivian.
