There is the possibility that future corn hybrids will express two or more genes with different modes of action that target Lepidoptera. Such pyramided hybrids might require less refuge, which could lead to even lower populations of Europan corn borer. At some point, a grower may want to consider whether the cost of Bt technology is justified
