A vivência da fé sob o estigma na percepção de praticantes de religiões afro-brasileiras em Montes Claros

Brazil is known for its cultural plurality and has religious diversity; however, it presents intolerance in the religious inviroment presented by the portuguese at the time of the colonization. This intolerance has been generating prejudice and discrimination directed to the followers of the religions of African matrices, Candomblé and Umbanda. This study examined the perception about the stigma of religions of African arrays by followers of Candomblé and Umbanda places in the city of Montes Claros. During the historical process of the colonization of Brazil, several cultures and beliefs were brought, perpetuating until the present days. It was noticed hat it is necessary the population aware to the studies of effective public policies to reduce conflicts related to the followers to the religions of African matrices.O Brasil é conhecido pela pluralidade cultural e possui diversidade religiosa, mas apresenta intolerância no âmbito religioso inaugurada pelos portugueses na época da colonização. Essa intolerância é geradora de preconceito e discriminação direcionadas aos adeptos das religiões de matrizes africanas, o Candomblé e a Umbanda. Este estudo analisou a percepção sobre o estigma de religiões de matrizes africanas por seguidores do Candomblé e da Umbanda em terreiros da cidade de Montes Claros. Durante o processo histórico da colonização do Brasil, varias culturas e crenças foram trazidas, perpetuando até os dias atuais. Notou-se que é necessário conscientizar a população através de estudos e políticas públicas eficazes para redução de conflitos relacionados ao pertencimento às religiões de matrizes africanas
