From monthly surveys on the Rota do Sol region, we were able to access the spider fauna present in the area. Data about diversity of these organisms were analyzed and showed significant differences on species richness and composition; this is due to the altitudinal gradient and different types of forests. Some other works demonstrated that the differences on spider’s diversity were due to habitat structure of vegetation, this fact could explain the differences found on spider’s composition in the area
