In order to improve aspects related to the efficiency of distribution systems, the use of energy storage devices has proven to be a viable alternative and with a diversified application. The energy storage systems, formed by batteries, allow their operation to be managed, thus specifying loading and unloading moments according to objectives of interest. In this work, a method for optimized operation and allocation of batteries in the electrical power system is developed with the objective of reducing electrical energy losses also considering the impact that the operation management can have on the battery life.
