The Veterinary Medical Data Program (V.M.D.P.) is a project sponsored and partially financed by the National Cancer Institute, presently located in Bethesda, Maryland. It is based on the Standard Nomenclature of Veterinary Diseases and Operations an was initially established at Michigan State University in February 1964, and has increased to 12 veterinary colleges in the United States and Canada
