Introduction: 2-[18F]fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose ([18F]FDG) is the most commonly used radiopharmaceutical in clinical molecular imaging. The process of FDG synthesis is under constant development to optimise and increase yields.Aim: Review of [18F]FDG radiopharmaceutical production with ABT cyclotron and chemistry module.Materials and Methods: The 18F radionuclide we work with, is the product of a 18O (p, n)18F nuclear reaction by irradiation (30-45 min) of enriched [18O]H2O.
