Recently we showed in rats that WBV with an onset of 14 days after SCI improved body weight support, increased the density of synaptic terminals in the lumbar spinal cord and restored bladder function. In a subsequent experimental set, WBV was combined with medial longitudinal myelotomy (MLM) which - by removal of neural debris from the lesion site - should reduce secondary injury.
