The value of CT in the medical community has been well documented. Medical computed axial tomography (CAT) scans can provide physicians with valuable information such as the presence, location, size and growth patterns of tumors and abnormalities within the body. This information can be used to judge the severity of the problem, aid in removal through surgery and detect the onset of a problem at an earlier stage than might have been possible otherwise.
