To compare the proportion of cardiometabolic well-controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients according to a clearly defined, simple personalised approach, versus the 'one-size-fits-all' approach.|Observational study using routine data of primary care type 2 diabetes patients in the Netherlands.
