The project produced research on food access, labelling, prices and marketing, and disseminated the Brazilian Dietary Guidelines. It worked to understand conflicts of interest situations and corporate political activities in terms of food regulation; to translate information effectively for the general population; and more specifically information required for policy and decision-making bodies. This report covers activities, outputs and outcomes of the project. The burden of non-communicable diseases (NCD) in Brazil remains one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality.
