Indirect exercises are highly appropriate for stimulating manual abilities, creativity and reasoning in students. The printmaking processes are extremely characteristic of this condition. They are considered as exercises that stimulate principally working abilities and what is forgotten is perhaps their greatest virtue: the stimulation of rational thinking, as students have to question what they are doing because they do not have an immediate response.
