Public participation in preventive examinations

The teoretical part is presented in three chapters. The first chapter deals with health issues, determinants of health and a healthy lifestyle. The second chapter focus on prevention in health care and clarifies primary, secondary and tertiary prevention, and the third chapter is devoted to oncological prevention. The empirical part presents quantitative research and is processed by the method of questionnaire survey. 80 respondents perticipated in the research part. Obtained informations are transferred to tables and graphs. The aim of the work was to find out with what willingness the public is interested in their health, what knowledge the public has about preventive examinations and from where they obtain informations about the possibility of undergoing preventive examinations
