I will discuss how politically Kyoto City Administration controlled the coexisting of the vocation and home management of married female teachers in elementary schools. Especially I explore these issues by focusing upon the treatments of Kyoto City Administration for married female teachers’maternity leaves and their working efficiency in the 1920s. At first,I precisely analyze the articles of the newspaper,Kyoto Hinode Shinbun which reported the movement of married female teachers’demands and movements about their maternity leaves and working efficiency in Kyoto City.
