The aim of the research is the development of a finite-state predictive speed and current control algorithm for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The high computational requirement is one of the main limitations in the calculation and application of the switching states to the inverter, but an alternative control strategy is here proposed. Preliminary simulation and experimental and results obtained with a FPGA-based control board prove the feasibility of the predictive control architecture, both in transient and steady-state conditions.QC 20180919</p
