The paper describes the observations of the restoration of living above-ground phytomass after the fire occurred in аugust 2014 on the site «Burtinskaya steppe» reserve «Orenburgsky». Some reliable statistical differences in the size of stocks of living above-ground phytomass of burned and unburned communities with the help of student's t-test are proved. In the first year after a fire in the living phytomass in burnt and negerevich sites was significantly different, but in the second year, the differences are not significant, which indicates rapid recovery of live aboveground phytomass on the burnt plots.
