Heat exchangers are used in many industrial applications, for example, solar thermal facilities, power plants, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems to mention a few. The study and/or analysis of heat exchangers using numerical procedures provides many benefits due its flexibility and reduced cost compared with experimental procedures. This is the reason why it can be used to carry parametric study in order the design better and more efficient devices.
