This study aims to explain how child abuse is reflected by Oliver in the novel Oliver Twist (1838) by Charles Dicken using a psychoanalytic perspective. The novel Oliver Twist (1838) is analyzed in two aspects. First is based on what are indicators of child abuse of Oliver in the novel by using psychoanalytic perspective, second is based on why child abuse of Oliver specifically addressed by Charles Dicken in the novel. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This study uses two sources of data, the first is the novel Oliver Twist (1838) by Charles Dicken as the main source.
