OBJECTIVE: The aim of the present study is to compare the effect of three different primers (Transbond XT, Transbond MIP, Orthofix Anabond) on shear bond strength of brackets bonded using Transbond XT adhesive. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 90 adolescent premolars extracted for orthodontic purposes were collected over a period of 3 month period. All the teeth were examined for caries, fractures, discolorations. The sample which met the inclusion criteria were debrided and stored in 10% formalin solution.
