The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of which attitudes teachers in the Swedish school subject sloyd have to the revision of the curriculum and in which way the revision can reform the practical teaching in the classroom. The study deals whit questions about what sloyd teachers regard as the most important aim with the education, how they use the curriculum when they choose witch material they use as knowledge in their classroom and which practical consequences the revision of the curriculum will have in their teaching. The survey was performed through phone interviews with four sloyd teachers. Sloyd is a subject that consists primarily on doing, creating and developing handiness.
